Daniel Camilleri

Accounting veteran Daniel Camilleri has joined London-based Intercontinental Grouping of Accountants and Lawyers (IGAL) as Board Member, he announced on Monday.

This comes after his nomination was accepted by the network’s members during this year’s Annual General Meeting which was held in Lisbon between 25th and 30th October.

Mr Camilleri is Managing Director and Partner at accounting firm Camilleri Galea Ltd, positions he has held for over 12 years, where he is primarily responsible for advisory and corporate services. Camilleri Galea is also a member firm of IGAL, allowing for access to “international expertise and a range of accounting, tax, and legal specialists in countries and major business centres around the world” for clients.

Additionally, he is also Director and Chief Financial Officer at casino and games provider Hacksaw Gaming.

Prior to that, he was Director at fiduciary services provider Mare Nostrum Melita Ltd, and also a Finance and Administration Manager at marketing consultancy firm Communique Creative Ltd. He also worked as Accountant and Auditor at Venture Management Consultants Ltd and Mdina Corporate Services Ltd for more than five years.

Mr Camilleri holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) from University of Malta and is a Certified Public Accountant. Apart from that, he also attained the Foundation Certificate in Trusts Law and Management and is a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants and the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners.

Formed in 2004, IGAL is a non-exclusive business network of internationally focused law and accounting firms which currently includes more than 100 member firms from across the world. While IGAL member firms are independent, regular meetings and referrals between them are held to “better serve clients in their international business affairs” through the “personal and professional relationships” that are formed.
