FIMBank

FIMBank plc has announced the re-appointment of its Chairman and Vice Chairman for another term.

John C. Grech has once again been named Chairman of the Board, while Masaud M. J. Hayat has been re-appointed Vice Chairman.

John C. Grech

Dr Grech has previously served as Deputy Chairman of the Malta Development Corporation (MDC), Chairman of the Malta University Services Ltd (MUS), and Chairman of the Malta Export Trade Corporation, and Chairman of the Bank of Valletta Group of Companies.

He was a co-founder of MiddleSea Valletta Life Assurance Ltd and its first Chairman. He was also a Director on the Board of the Malta Freeport Corporation and Chairman of the Malta Tourism Authority.

Mr Hayat has served as Group Chief Executive Officer of Burgan Bank since April 2019, while also holding the position of Vice Chairman of the Board and being a Board Member since 2013. He brings over 44 years of experience across banking, investment, and management sectors, having previously held senior roles at Al-Ahli Bank of Kuwait and within the KIPCO Group. Mr Hayat has also completed executive programmes at Harvard University and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
