FIMBANK

FIMBank plc has announced the re-appointment of its Chairman and Vice Chairman for another term.

John C. Grech has once again been named Chairman of the Board, while Masaud M. J. Hayat has been re-appointed Vice Chairman.

The announcement was made in a company announcement on the Stock Exchange.

The FIMBank Board, subject to regulatory approvals, is now composed of the following: John C. Grech (Chairman) Masaud M. J. Hayat (Vice Chairman) Edmond Brincat Hussain Abdul Aziz Lalani Rabih Soukarieh Samer Abbouchi Simon Jethro Lay Teuta Bakalli Haethum Samih Buttikhi.

Dr Grech has previously served as Deputy Chairman of the Malta Development Corporation (MDC), Chairman of the Malta University Services Ltd (MUS), Chairman of the Malta Export Trade Corporation, and Chairman of the Bank of Valletta Group of Companies.

He was a co-founder of MiddleSea Valletta Life Assurance Ltd and its first Chairman. He was also a Director on the Board of the Malta Freeport Corporation and Chairman of the Malta Tourism Authority

Mr Hayat currently serves as Chairman of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation, United Gulf Holding Co. in Bahrain, and Syria Gulf Bank in Syria. He is also a Board Member of Jordan Kuwait Bank (since 2001), KAMCO Invest in Kuwait, Masharea AlKhair Charity Foundation, United Gulf Financial Services, and Bank of Baghdad in Iraq, where he successfully led the acquisition, restructuring, and operational turnaround of the bank.
