Graziella Grech has been recognised among the Most Inspiring Women Leaders to Watch in 2026 by CEO Views, an international business and leadership publication based in the United States.

The recognition highlights her professional journey spanning nearly three decades, during which she has held roles across banking, financial services and fintech.

Speaking to MaltaCEOs.mt, Ms Grech described the recognition as both a privilege and a significant personal milestone, particularly as it acknowledges her career on an international platform.

"My career has been anything but static. From building a strong foundation in banking to contributing to Malta's international positioning as a financial services jurisdiction and now spearheading the European expansion of a major North African fintech group, I have consistently embraced opportunities that challenge conventional thinking and push me beyond familiar boundaries," she said.

Reflecting on her career, Ms Grech emphasised the importance of continuous learning and professional development, regardless of seniority or experience.

"I have always believed that ambition should never have an expiry date, and neither should our willingness to learn," she remarked.

She noted that today's rapidly evolving business environment requires leaders to remain adaptable, curious and willing to challenge established ways of thinking.

According to Ms Grech, this approach continues to motivate her to pursue further studies, invest in her professional development and explore new perspectives.

Turning to leadership, she stressed that professional success should not be measured solely through individual achievements, but also through the opportunities created for others.

"To me, leadership is not about how far we rise individually but how many opportunities we create for others to rise alongside us. It is about leading with integrity, making difficult decisions with conviction, and inspiring confidence even in the face of uncertainty."

Ms Grech also reflected on the significance of receiving international recognition as a Maltese woman working in an increasingly global business environment.

She said the achievement reinforced her belief that professional ambitions should not be limited by geography, gender or external expectations.

"I sincerely hope that my journey encourages other women, particularly those balancing demanding careers with personal and academic aspirations, to continue investing in themselves and pursuing their goals without hesitation," she said.

For Ms Grech, the recognition also brings a responsibility to continue setting an example for aspiring leaders.

"Experience gives us wisdom, education keeps us relevant, and courage turns both into meaningful progress," she said.

"For me, the true value of this recognition lies in the responsibility it brings to continue leading by example and inspiring others to believe that their ambitions are within reach."
