HSBC Bank Malta plc has announced the appointment of Anthony Doublet as a Non-Executive Director.

The appointment follows a previous company announcement issued in August 2025 concerning changes to the bank’s board composition. According to the company announcement, Mr Doublet will also join the bank’s Audit Committee, which is chaired by Elvia George and includes Malcolm Miller as a member.

Mr Doublet brings more than four decades of professional experience to the role. A Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, a Fellow of the Malta Institute of Accountants and a Certified Public Accountant, he has been active in the profession since 1983.

He was appointed Partner and Head of Assurance and Risk at MSD & Co (Arthur Andersen Representatives) in 1994, before the firm merged with Ernst & Young in 2001. During his tenure at EY, he held several senior positions, including Head of Assurance, Malta Professional Practice Director and Money Laundering Reporting Officer, up until his retirement in 2021.

Beyond his executive career, Mr Doublet served as a Council member of the Malta Institute of Accountants for 14 years and was President of the Institute between 2011 and 2013. He has also held – and continues to hold – a number of non-executive roles across regulated entities.
