Carlos Malliaroudakis has been appointed Cluster General Manager at InterContinental and Holiday Inn Express Malta, effective 1st October.
A Greek national born in Lebanon, Mr Malliaroudakis started his journey in hospitality back in 1988 in Athens.
The newly appointed Cluster General Manager’s career includes 20 years of experience with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and another 13 years with well-renowned companies such as Accor and Rotana.
He has also worked in Lebanon, Qatar, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.
Before arriving to Malta, Mr Malliaroudakis held the position of General Manager at InterContinental Jordan for four years.
Mr Malliaroudakis will provide leadership and strategic planning to both InterContinental and Holiday Inn Express Malta.
Owning just under 6,000 hotels globally, IHG Hotels & Resorts is one of the world’s leading hospitality companies.
The issue, he argues, lies in how professional life continues to be structured as if parenting does not exist.
This role requires him to serve as the founding strategic leader of the newly established centre.
Thomas Agius Ferrante will focused on strengthening The Xara Collection as one of Malta’s most known hospitality companies.
Andrew Hogg is also Executive Director at The BrewHouse Malta.
