Rosanne Bonnici, Partner and Head of the Tax & Immigration Law Department at Fenech & Fenech Advocates, has been invited to join the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law (IAETL).

In an official statement, the law firm said that this an invitation-only organisation bringing together leading practitioners and recognised experts in trusts, estate planning, succession and related areas of law.

Its membership includes lawyers, academics and judges from jurisdictions around the world, providing a forum for the exchange of knowledge and discussion on developments affecting private clients, wealth succession and estate planning.

Dr Bonnici is currently the only Maltese member of the Academy, a development which further highlights her experience in private client and wealth planning matters and places Malta within an international network of specialists in the field.

Commenting on her appointment, Dr Bonnici said she was “truly honoured” to have been invited to join the Academy.

“It is a privilege to be recognised alongside such a distinguished group of practitioners from around the world,” she said. “I look forward to contributing to the Academy's discussions and exchanging knowledge and perspectives on developments in estate planning, succession and trust law,” she said

Dr Bonnici advises private individuals, families and international clients on a range of matters including taxation, wealth preservation, succession planning, trusts, foundations and cross-border private client issues.

Fenech & Fenech Advocates said the firm's involvement in international professional networks reflects its focus on developments in private client and wealth planning law and on providing clients with advice in an increasingly cross-border environment.
