Dalli Advocates has appointed Jonathan Borg as Maritime Affairs Advisor.

Mr Borg joins the legal practice after a career spanning 38 years, during which he has worked across multiple international markets and advised businesses operating in complex maritime and offshore environments. His experience covers both commercial operations and strategic advisory work, with a particular focus on maritime policy, port infrastructure, regulatory frameworks and cross-border business operations.

At Dalli Advocates, he will advise clients on matters relating to the maritime sector, including commercial agreements, regulatory compliance and operational issues affecting shipping, ports and offshore activities.

Throughout his career, Mr Borg has founded and led several international maritime and oilfield service businesses, working with clients and stakeholders across the Mediterranean, North Sea, Middle East, West Africa and the Americas. He has also served on statutory boards dealing with maritime safety, security and environmental protection, providing him with insight into both the public and private dimensions of the industry.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr Borg described the move as "the next step in our maritime journey", adding that it combines dedicated maritime services with an expanding international network.

He also thanked Dalli Advocates and Managing Partner Veronique Dalli for their trust and partnership, saying he is "very optimistic about our future collaboration."
