Laferla Group

After four decades of dedicated leadership, Mr Mark Laferla and Mrs Helen Laferla have officially stepped down from their roles at Laferla Group, marking the end of an era for one of Malta’s most respected insurance providers.

What began as a small insurance agency in 1984 has evolved into a household name built on family values, trust, and exceptional service.

Their departure comes as part of a natural leadership transition that has been gradually unfolding in recent years. Their sons, Mr Mark Jr., Keith Laferla, and Mr Kevin Laferla, have already been instrumental in driving the company’s growth, making sure the Laferla legacy continues with the same commitment to excellence. Mr Kevin Laferla now steps into the role of Executive Director, reinforcing the group’s second-generation leadership.

Adding to the strengthened leadership team is Stephen Thake, a long-standing figure in the company, who has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board. His deep understanding of the company’s values and vision makes him well-placed to guide Laferla into its next chapter.

The Laferla family, staff, and clients alike express heartfelt gratitude to Mark and Helen for their remarkable contribution and unwavering vision. Their journey from a modest start to industry leadership is a testament to their hard work and entrepreneurial spirit.
