Cablenet Communication Systems, a Cyprus-based GO subsidiary, has appointed Lassaad Ben Dhiab to its Board of Directors with immediate effect.

Lassaad Ben Dhiab

Mr Ben Dhiab holds over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications sector and has held major roles in engineering, business strategy and administration, financial and human resource management, and implementation of telecommunications solutions.

Over the years, Mr Ben Dhiab held various responsibilities within the Tunisia Telecom Group and has recently been appointed Chairman and CEO of Tunisie Telecom.

Cablenet is presently one of the largest telecommunications providers in Cyprus, offering customers internet services, fixed and mobile telephony services, as well as TV services that are rich in sports and entertainment content.

The Nicosia-based company has been a subsidiary of GO since 2014, when the two companies finalised their strategic agreement following the necessary regulatory approval from the Competition Authority.

Back in August 2020, Cablenet Communication Systems plc became the first foreign registered company to be listed on the Malta Stock Exchange.
