The international restaurant brand brings French Mediterranean dining and its signature party spirit to St George’s Bay.

Bagatelle was born from a simple idea: to celebrate joie de vivre, everywhere.

Founded by Aymeric Clemente and Rémi Laba, the group was born in 2008 in New York, in the heart of the Meatpacking District. That first address quickly became a gathering place where food, music and energy came together to create far more than a restaurant: a true experience.

Building on this success, Bagatelle naturally expanded around the world, from St Tropez to Miami and St Barth, from Courchevel to Dubai, and on to some of the most iconic destinations.

Today, Bagatelle brings together a collection of unique venues, from Loulou Ramatuelle to Chez Lui London and Isba Dubai, all driven by the same signature: relaxed elegance, festive energy, and that effortless French art de vivre, made to be shared.

Expect your next dinner with friends to turn into a whole night out. Bagatelle Malta is now open at St George’s Bay in St Julian’s and welcomes its first guests from today, joining an international family of destinations that includes St Tropez, London, Dubai and St Barth.

Known for pairing French Mediterranean food with a party atmosphere, Bagatelle makes the evening around the table as much of a draw as the meal itself. Dinner sets the scene, the music shapes the mood, and the energy builds as the night unfolds. It’s a place to gather your favourite people, dress for the occasion and settle in for an evening you won’t want to cut short.

Inspired by the South of France, the experience centres on generous food, shared plates and the French joie de vivre, the simple pleasure of enjoying life in good company. Whether you’re marking a birthday, celebrating something special or getting the gang together, the atmosphere is part of the occasion.

Food remains firmly at the heart of it. Malta’s menu has been created by Bagatelle’s Corporate Chef Rocco Seminara and Executive Chef Walter D’Ambrosio, bringing together seasonal ingredients, Mediterranean flavours and dishes designed for sharing.

D’Ambrosio brings more than 25 years of experience across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, including roles with Emporio Armani Ristorante and Billionaire, as well as fine-dining establishments in Bangkok.

So, if the group chat is still debating where to go for your next big night out, here’s a new name to put on the table.

Reservations are now open. Book your table here and follow @bagatelle_malta for updates.
