KPMG Malta has promoted Ms Vella to Associate Director following more than 11 years with the company.
Ms Vella joined KPMG in 2015 as an Assistant Tax Advisor, a position she held for more than two years. During her career with the firm, she also spent four months in London as an Assistant Manager within KPMG’s tax team.
Throughout her career, Ms Vella has been involved in providing domestic and international corporate tax compliance and advisory services, specialising in personal tax. Her work has involved advising individuals and groups of companies based in Malta and overseas on personal tax and related matters, as well as assisting with compliance requirements.
She has also been involved in facilitating relocations to Malta, setting up and reorganising group structures, establishing family offices and advising on succession planning.
Prior to her promotion to Associate Director, Ms Vella served as a Senior Manager for three years.
She is also a visiting lecturer at the KPMG Learning Academy, where she has been teaching for the past six years.
In 2015, Ms Vella graduated with a Masters in Accountancy from the University of Malta.

This major appointment for Tanya Chetcuti comes after more than 16 years at Digit European Commission.

The Malta-founded company plans to deepen its presence in the UK and Southeast Europe while expanding into the US.
