Rides & Eats CEO Sebastian Ripard said that its business relationship with Uber is set to change.
“The scope of the services we offer Uber is set to change,” Mr Ripard told WhosWho.mt.
He stressed that the changes will have no impact on customers or drivers and that Uber will continue operating in Malta.
He said it is still too early to provide further details on what the revised arrangement could look like.
Uber has worked with Rides & Eats, a subsidiary of Alf Mizzi & Sons, since entering the Maltese market in 2022.
Rides & Eats has established a physical office in Malta, and provides support services including driver onboarding and certain marketing functions.
Alf. Mizzi & Sons Group CEO Alec Mizzi also confirmed that changes to the partnership are on the horizon.
