A luxury superyacht valued at approximately €60 million has been sighted at Grand Harbour Marina, drawing quiet attention within Malta’s yachting and maritime services community.
The vessel has been identified as Leona, a privately owned superyacht linked to a member of the Saudi Royal Family. According to international reports, ownership is attributed to Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the son of the late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Built to modern superyacht standards, Leona reflects a strong emphasis on both comfort and performance. The yacht features a multi-deck layout designed to support extended stays on board, including an expansive owner’s suite and multiple guest cabins. Leisure and wellness facilities include a beach club with direct sea access, a swimming pool, spa, and a fully equipped gym.
The superyacht is also fitted with dedicated entertainment spaces, including a private cinema and theatre room, supported by advanced audiovisual systems. Additional design elements, such as a piano, underline the yacht’s focus on refined onboard living.
From a technical perspective, Leona incorporates underway stabilisation systems to enhance comfort during navigation, as well as underwater lighting that improves visibility and presence during night operations. A tender garage accommodates support vessels and watercraft, enabling a wide range of recreational activities.
The presence of a vessel of this calibre in Vittoriosa underscores Malta’s continued positioning as a destination of choice for high-end yachting, supported by its marina infrastructure, maritime services ecosystem, and strategic location in the central Mediterranean.
Peter Galea announces he is returning to Malta after seven years in the UK.
