Shreeram Kumble has been appointed Senior Manager of Digital and Advisory Services at PwC Malta, bringing with him a wealth of experience from his illustrious career with global tech giants and consulting.

With over two decades of professional experience, Mr Kumble’s career journey spans roles in business development, strategic planning, and market restructuring across various regions.

Mr Kumble began his career ascent at BlackBerry, where he served as Director of Business Development and Distribution for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

According to his LinkedIn profile, he defined and executed a distribution strategy that contributed to over 60 per cent of BlackBerry’s $2 billion business. Among his notable achievements was leading a comprehensive restructuring of the company’s coverage model in Indonesia and Thailand, which reduced lead times “by half”. His tenure at BlackBerry spanned five-and-a-half years.

Following his success at BlackBerry, Mr Kumble joined Apple, where he says that he played a pivotal role in driving growth for the company’s iOS devices. Initially tasked with leading business development and distribution for South Asia, he established distribution and retail channels across 18 countries. During this time, he also spearheaded strategic partnership agreements with leading financial institutions, including Citibank, UOB, DBS, and K Bank.

His expertise and leadership earned him a promotion to Regional Business Development Lead at Apple. In this role, he developed a scalable go-to-market strategy for accessories, audio, and wearables. His approach, executed in collaboration with country teams, reportedly resulted in triple-digit year-on-year growth for the product categories. Mr Kumble’s tenure at Apple spanned eight years and seven months.

After his time at Apple, Mr Kumble transitioned to freelance consulting, where he spent over two years providing business strategy and go-to-market consulting for a range of clients. His portfolio included investment banks, research divisions, telecommunications firms, and retail businesses across South East Asia and Europe.
