Vistage Malta congratulated its two members, JPA Owner and CEO Steve Cassar and Smart Technologies Limited Co-Founder and CEO Joseph Aquilina, on completing the LifeCycle challenge.
“A feat like this requires a massive commitment which needs to be plugged into a busy CEOs professional and personal life,” Vistage Malta stated, adding that training for a challenge like this “starts months before.”
Mr Cassar and Mr Aquilina, together with 16 other cyclists and support crew cycled from Buenos Aires in Argentina to Santiago de Chile to raise money to support renal patients in Malta.
Founded in Malta in 1999, the LifeCycle Foundation has three main aims: to raise awareness about renal disease, to raise funds in aid of patients living with said disease, and to increase research into the causes and possible cures of renal failure.
While this challenge has been LifeCycle’s 22nd, it marks the Foundation’s first in South America. Since its inception, LifeCycle challenges have cycled more than 35,000km across 50 countries and five continents, raising an estimated €3,000,000 to help improve the lives of kidney disease patients.
