IoT Solutions Ltd’s management on Wednesday celebrated Managing Director Reuben Camilleri’s 31st birthday.
It was full of praise towards the “amazing” Ing. Camilleri, who was described as “the glue that holds us [IoT Solutions] all together”.
The management continued by expressing gratitude for his “leadership and guidance” over the years, before wishing him another year of “making IoT Solutions a success”.
“You’re getting older, but don’t worry, you’re still smart as ever,” it concluded.
Ing. Camilleri founded the company in 2017 when he was only 25, after a life-long fascination in engineering, particularly with “the magic of electronics”. From a young age, he spent part of his free time designing and building equipment using tools and materials his family members provided. He eventually pursued career in engineering, graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University of Malta, during which time he also worked in various technical jobs.
Following the completion of his degree, he worked in the automotive industry for six years as Electronic Engineer at Methode Electronics Malta Ltd, where he designed multiple car parts for major brands including McLaren and Volkswagen. During that time, Ing. Camilleri was also a key player in creating a new innovative technology for contactless sensing.
His fascination eventually resulted in the launch of IoT Solutions, which focuses on the design and manufacturing of wireless, battery-powered products. Since then, he has witnessed it grow from a very small business selling a few pilot projects, to a company which has carried out “major nationwide Internet of Things (IoT) projects in various countries across the world”. Its team has also grown from a one-man job to a whole design office and factory area.
