Hyatt Regency Malta has appointed Adrian Attard as its new General Manager.
With a track record in the hospitality industry, Mr Attard brings a wealth of experience from various prestigious roles in Malta and abroad.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Mr Attard’s career began at Corinthia Hotels International, where he served as Food and Beverage Manager for five years. In 2004, he was promoted to Assistant General Manager, a role in which he gained experience managing operations.
He then transitioned to Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, where, over the course of four years, he oversaw the completion and opening of the resort’s facilities.
In 2009, Mr Attard took on the position of Group Director of Revenue at Island Hotels Group. There, he was responsible for revenue management across the group’s three hotels and its catering division.
Following this, Mr Attard returned to Radisson Blu Resort & Spa as General Manager, where he led operations for the 252-room luxury resort. During his seven-year tenure, he managed a refurbishment project, which included a renovation of guest bathrooms, updates to bedrooms, and improvements to public areas such as the lobby, restaurants, and the beach club.
In 2018, Mr Attard became General Manager at Corinthia Palace Malta, a 150-key luxury hotel. He led a major refurbishment, upgrading suites, the lobby, the executive lounge, and the meeting facilities. Additionally, he launched a new food and beverage programme and rebranded the Athenaeum Spa.
In 2021, Mr Attard took on the role of General Manager at Corinthia Hotels Limited in Prague, Czechia. He was responsible for business operations at Corinthia Prague, an upper-upscale property with 539 rooms. His role also included the development of the cluster commercial and finance organisation for Corinthia Hotels in the city, encompassing the 1,000-room portfolio of the Corinthia and Panorama Hotels.
With his extensive leadership experience and expertise in hotel management, Mr Attard is set to bring fresh insights to Hyatt Regency Malta.
