BNF Bank plc Chief Legal Officer Jean Noel Cutajar will remember 2022 as a year filled with achievements, despite the “numerous challenges” that he has had to face.

In a social media post on Thursday, Dr Cutajar reflected on the past year, remarking that it was a “time of challenges and growth, both personally and professionally”.

“Despite the numerous challenges, I have learnt lessons that have helped me grow and which will remain with me for many more years to come. A lot has changed for the better, following the challenges we all faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it was relieving to see things start to look up,” he said.

Dr Cutajar said that 2022 has been a “year of achievements”, as BNF Bank was named Malta’s Bank of the Year by financial sector publication The Banker for the third consecutive year. In May, he was also promoted to Chief Legal Officer after more than a year as the bank’s Head of Legal Department and Company Secretary.

“It has been my absolute privilege this year to be part of a hard-working team of people who strived to be the best in their field, and the results speak for themselves,” he said, before proceeding to thank all of BNF Bank’s staff. “Your effort and dedication encourage me to look forward to new challenges that lay ahead,” he added.

Additionally, Dr Cutajar remarked that he has also been introduced to new people this year, yet it feels like he has “known them for years”.

“There has been much to be thankful for in 2022, and I personally believe that this shows what there is to look forward to in the years to come. To all of you, I wish you all the very best for a successful and prosperous new year ahead,” he concluded.
