Castille, a Maltese firm operating specialist recruitment networks for executives and engineers, has announced that Matthew Camilleri, its CEO, has been appointed as the new Chair of the Tech Industry Alliance (TIA).
The TIA is an association dedicated to connecting tech, business and innovation in Ireland’s Southwest region.
In his new leadership role, Mr Camilleri will lead the TIA’s mission to foster innovation, collaboration and sustainable growth across Ireland’s Southwest technology sector.
“It is a privilege to take on this role at such a dynamic time for the technology sector in the Southwest,” said Mr Camilleri at the TIA’s Annual General Meeting.
“I look forward to working with the Board, our members and stakeholders to build on the strong foundations already in place and ensure the continued success and relevance of the Tech Industry Alliance.”
Mr Camilleri brings significant experience in technology business leadership, having led Castille in building a trusted engineering network active in over 30 countries. His strategic vision and commitment to regional development make him well placed to contribute to TIA’s purpose at this pivotal time.
The organisation also thanked outgoing Chairperson Gerry Murphy for his dedicated leadership over the past two years, during which TIA significantly expanded its membership services and cemented its position as the leading voice of the tech community in the region.
In addition, several new directors have joined the board this year, bringing new expertise in academia, law, cybersecurity and local government to support TIA’s ongoing initiatives.
