Stephen Gauci Baluci

Calamatta Cuschieri Group plc subsidiary CC Fund Services has named Stephen Gauci Baluci as Managing Director, it announced on Thursday. His new position comes after 11 years at the firm.

Steven Grech, who previously served as Operations Manager, has also been promoted, to Executive Director and Head of Operations. He will be tasked with overseeing all the operations of the fund administration firm to “ensure business growth and customer retention whilst looking for new opportunities”.

“Having many years of experience and an acute understanding and appreciation for the fund services industry, their joint effort and expertise has led to consistent company growth,” CC Fund Services said.

The company explained that their “hard work and dedication towards quality and excellence” will “undoubtedly remain central” in their new roles, as they aim to continue delivering “full satisfaction for their customers”.

Prior to leading the team at CC Fund Services, Mr Gauci Baluci served in a number of other roles since he joined in 2011, including Operations Manager and Senior Fund Accountant. Aside from his time at the firm, he also worked as Fund Accountant at HSBC’s fund services division and as Supervisor at PwC Malta.

Mr Grech joined CC Fund Services in 2012 as Senior Fund Administrator, Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer. His extensive experience in the funds industry includes more than two years as Senior Fund Accountant at Custom House Global Fund Services Ltd and over a year as Assistant Fund Administrator at Global Capital plc. He also worked as Finance Payments Officer at Miller Distributors Ltd for almost four years.

CC Fund Services currently offers its services to over 100 sub-funds with assets under administration of €1.5 billion, with these encapsulating a broad range of investment schemes covering “all asset classes and different types of available fund structures”.
