Chief Human Resources Officer Anthony Scicluna has retired from Bank of Valletta (BOV) after 38 years of employment.

Mr Scicluna joined the bank back in 1984 and has, since then, occupied several executive roles. In 2012, he was appointed Chief Officer for Group Internal Audit and soon after he was made Chief Officer Ethics and Employee Development.

In November 2019, Mr Scicluna was appointed as a Member of the bank’s Management Board.

BOV thanked the outgoing Chief HR Officer “for his valid contribution to the bank” whilst wishing him “every success in his future endeavours.”

The bank also announced that it has received regulatory approval for the appointment of Vanessa Borg as Chief People and Change Officer.

Dr Borg’s appointment was announced last July. Prior to joining BOV, she held the role of Director, Strategy Advisor at KPMG.
