The Malta College for Arts, Science, and Technology (MCAST)has just launched its prospectus for the coming academic year, 2022-23.

This was presented during the My Future seminar, attended by over 80 career guidance professionals. The publication, which is also available digitally, includes over 190 full-time courses offered by the College, from introductory level courses to Master’s level.

“The role of career guidance is crucial in helping students understand the connections between education and work and become more actively engaged in learning,” MCAST Principal and CEO Joachim James Calleja said.

“This prospectus is packed with information about courses at all levels. Choosing a learning and career path can be exciting and overwhelming all at once. Ours is an invitation to all students to discover what options are available, and we commit to supporting them every step of the way,” he continued.

The prospectus includes six new courses that will be offered from October. These include: Advanced Diploma for Dental Surgery Assistants, Diploma in Cabin Crew Training, and Undergraduate Diploma in Auto Electronic and Electrical Technology, amongst others.

During the launch, college alumni and current students shared the stories of their learning journey, emphasising the relevance of courses to the world of employment.

Industry professionals representing various sectors also spoke about the need to raise awareness about the skills and competencies required and the importance of apprenticeships to equip students with the right attitude for the workplace.
