David-G-Curmi

David Curmi, Executive Chairman of KM Malta Airlines, has been appointed as a permanent member of the SITA Europe Customer Advisory Board (CAB), an exclusive forum that brings together senior leaders from across the aviation industry to shape the future of air transport.

SITA – Société Internationale de Télécommunications Aéronautiques – is a global leader in air transport communications and IT. Founded in 1949 by 11 airlines, it now operates in over 200 countries and territories, offering technology solutions to more than 2,500 airlines, airports, and government entities. The company plays a crucial role in ensuring that modern air travel remains efficient, connected, and secure.

Mr Curmi expressed both pride and enthusiasm at the appointment.

“It’s a privilege to represent KM Malta Airlines in this role and contribute to discussions that will influence the future of aviation across Europe and beyond,” he shared in a social media post.

The SITA Europe CAB is by invitation only and includes a select group of executives from airlines, airports, and aviation organisations. It serves as a platform for high-level dialogue, enabling members to exchange ideas, experiences, and insights while offering strategic direction on key issues affecting the air transport community.

Mr Curmi tells MaltaCEOs.mt that as a permanent member of this Board, he is looking forward to contributing insights that help shape the evolution of SITA’s solutions, support innovation in the air transport industry, and strengthen collaboration among aviation stakeholders.

He adds that he is also looking forward to working with his peers and the SITA leadership team in this forum, “helping drive continuous improvement and value creation for our industry.”
