Denise Cortis

On Tuesday (today), Denise Cortis announced her appointment as the Chief People Officer at The Convenience Shop.

Ms Cortis previously held the role of Head of Human Resources at Arkadia Marketing Ltd, a position she held since October 2020.

Prior to that, she also held similar leadership roles, including being a Director of Human Resources at MCAST and Group Head of HR at G4S.

Ms Cortis has a degree in business administration and management. Additionally, from the Heriot-Watt University – Edinburgh Business School, she obtained a postgraduate certificate in business administration and management, a Master’s Degree Specialisation in Human Resources Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). She also obtained a Master of Science in Exercise and Sports Science from MCAST.

The Convenience Shop, which launched its first outlet in 2009, now employs over 800 people and operates more than 80 locations across Malta, with plans to expand into Gozo soon.
