DMSC Certified Public Accountants Co-Founder and Partner Steven Cortis on Thursday announced that he will be taking part in the UK three peaks expedition over the weekend.

Mr Cortis, together with a team from Vistage Malta, will be challenging themselves to reaching the peak of the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales over three consecutive days.

“Whoever knows me well, knows that this isn’t the type of challenge that will be on my calendar regularly and I’m pretty sure that it will test me both from a fitness point of view and also mentally,” he said.

“In my professional life, I’ve found myself many a times in situations where my mental strength kept me going and going even when at points, certain goals seemed unachievable,” he added.

Mr Cortis acknowledged that the expedition will be another similar test to him, and hopes that on Sunday evening, once the challenge is concluded, he will be “able to tick another box of things” that he did outside of his comfort zone.

Mr Cortis is a Certified Public Accountant and a Member of the Malta Institute of Accountants as well as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Prior to establishing DMSC together with Daniel Mifsud Walstow, Mr Cortis held senior and managerial positions at a number of professional services firms, specialising in client accounting both locally and internationally. He also has experience as Financial Controller at Azzopardi Fisheries Group.
