Anjali Sud

For Anjali Sud, the CEO of video streaming platform, Vimeo, last week marked a significant milestone in her professional trajectory as she officially made the company public by listing on Nasdaq.

Marking the occasion, Sud – one of just a handful of women in corporate America to lead a public company – said “Dreams do come true”, explaining that Vimeo has been “a 16-year labour of love: we’ve gone through lots of change, but what has never changed is our belief in the power of video”.

The CEO, who started her career at Vimeo as General Manager, followed by Head of Marketing before taking the helm of the company in 2017, said “we put creators first, and put the power of professional-quality video in the hands of millions.”

“We built an innovative software platform, a wildly creative community, and a strong, resilient business. I don’t think I’ll ever feel more proud of a group of people as I do today,” said Sud. “To our users, supporters, and every member of the team past and present: thank you. There truly is no “I” in VMEO.”

“Now we keep building. Our labour of love continues.”
