FIMBank announced the appointments of its new Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) following Executive Vice President Michael John Davis’ retirement from the posts of CCO and MLRO.
Mr Davis’ retirement came into effect yesterday 31st August. FIMBank expressed its appreciation and gratitude towards him for his service to the company.
Czech national Thomas Dodd, who joined FIMBank on 1st July, is taking on the roles of Group CCO and MLRO. Mr Dodd holds over 20 years of experience in senior compliance, audit, and regulatory banking roles.
These include a seven-year tenure as a Senior Banking Regulator for the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates, and Chief Auditor and Group CCO roles at GE Money Czech Republic.
Mr Dodd’s appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
Italian national Julio Bonifacino is taking on the role of CIO at FIMBank.
Mr Bonifacino joined the bank on 13th July 2020 and has already received regulatory approval for his new role.
The newly appointed CIO started his banking career at Citibank in Montevideo. He later moved to Mexico, Panama, and London, where he occupied the positions of Treasurer, Investment Management Head, and Consumer Country Business Head, amongst others.
In 2013, Mr Bonifacino joined Burgan Bank in Kuwait where he occupied the positions of Deputy of the International Operations Office and Head of Subsidiaries Banking Unit.
