On Monday (today), Hudson Holdings Ltd paid tribute to Isak Andic, the Founder and Non Executive Chairman of international brand Mango.
Hudson currently operates three Mango outlets in The Point Shopping Mall Sliema, Pama Shopping Mall Mosta, and Mercury Towers, housing also the first Mango Man outlet on the islands.
“Andic lost his life in an accident last Saturday. Isak dedicated his life to Mango, leaving an indelible mark thanks to his strategy vision, his inspiring leadership, and his unwavering commitment to values that he himself imbued in the company,” the company shared.
Mr Andic passed away on Saturday 14th December after falling down a ravine while hiking in the Montserrat caves in Spain, known for its deep caves. At the time of his passing, Mr Andic was with his son and other family members.
The businessman founded the brand, alongside his brother Nahman, in Barcelona in 1984. Now the brand has 3,000 outlets in 120 countries with Forbes estimating his net worth at €4.095 billion ($4.5 billion).
Mango CEO Toni Ruiz said that Mr Andic’s departure leaves a huge void. “But all of us are, in some way, his legacy and the testimony of his achievements,” he added.
