Ian Fenech Conti has been appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Loqus Holdings with immediate effect.
In an official statement, the company explained that Dr Fenech Conti has been with the company since 2010 and has to date served as Head of Research and Development and User Experience.
The company said that in the role of CTO he will assume overall responsibility for the company’s technology function, including technology strategy and product architecture, research and development, front-end development and user experience, information security and data protection, and technology operations and infrastructure.
The positions of Head of Research and Development and Head of Front-End Development are now absorbed into the role of CTO and no longer exist as separate positions.
Dr Fenech Conti has served as a member of the board of directors of the company since January 2024.
Within the company, Dr Fenech Conti has led research, development and user experience across the company’s logistics, geographic information systems and route optimisation products, and has been closely involved in shaping the company’s flagship openFleet platform, as well as in the modernisation of the company’s technology stack, engineering practices, release planning and support operations.
Prior to this post, he worked in business development
