With each member bringing expertise in their field to the table, the whole is always greater than the sum of its parts, creating fertile ground for idea generation.

HR Consultant and Coach John Muscat Drago echoes this sentiment in a recent social media post, reacting to a leadership quote by entrepreneur, professional speaker and transformational trainer Chris Hawker.

“The leader’s job isn’t to have all the ideas. It’s to make sure all the ideas are heard and the best one wins,” the quote goes, upon which Mr Muscat Drago comments, “most people within a company would have good ideas and are willing to share them.”

Having formed part of senior management teams and holding top management positions in human resource management and development throughout his career, the HR Consultant emphasises the importance of creating the right environment for idea generation within your team, noting, “ideas are like seeds – they will only grow and bear fruit in a fertile environment!”
