Malta-based developer of online casino and live dealer content Swintt has appointed “industry heavyweight” Etienne Azzopardi as its Operations Director.

Mr Azzopardi boasts more than 22 years’ experience of working in IT professional services, digital product development and commercial delivery, and has worked with big name organisations including Betsson and KPMG.

He joins Swintt from Quickspin where he was Commercial Operations Director, and was responsible for customer onboarding, commercial analysis and high priority projects. Last week, he took to social media to share a bittersweet farewell to the Malta-based software company before embarking on a new adventure.

As Operations Director at Swintt, he will be responsible for coordinating and optimising product delivery, client launches and geographical expansion while also keeping a close eye on customer needs and how that translates to ensure Swintt continues to grow.

“Etienne is one of the most experienced and skilled executives in the industry and his knowledge and understanding of product development and commercial delivery will be vital to Swintt as we continue to grow at pace,” said David Flynn, Chief Executive Officer at Swintt, of the appointment.

“This is only possible because of the phenomenal team we have built and in Etienne we have someone who fits perfectly with our culture and wider ambition to become a tier one game provider for operators in markets around the world,” he continued, adding, “I’d like to officially welcome Etienne to the team and look forward to working with him as we continue to push the boundaries and deliver market-leading products and games to our partners.”

On his part, Mr Azzopardi said, “I’m thrilled to join the team at Swintt – I’ve been welcomed by a team of industry experts, and great people, and am eager to get going and contribute to Swintt’s continued success.”

“Swintt’s rapid expansion means I’ll be joining the company at an exciting time and I’m looking forward to delivering strong growth for Swintt and its customers,” he concluded.
