Carlos Malliaroudakis has been appointed Cluster General Manager at InterContinental and Holiday Inn Express Malta, effective 1st October.
A Greek national born in Lebanon, Mr Malliaroudakis started his journey in hospitality back in 1988 in Athens.
The newly appointed Cluster General Manager’s career includes 20 years of experience with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and another 13 years with well-renowned companies such as Accor and Rotana.
He has also worked in Lebanon, Qatar, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.
Before arriving to Malta, Mr Malliaroudakis held the position of General Manager at InterContinental Jordan for four years.
Mr Malliaroudakis will provide leadership and strategic planning to both InterContinental and Holiday Inn Express Malta.
Owning just under 6,000 hotels globally, IHG Hotels & Resorts is one of the world’s leading hospitality companies.
In his professional career he has worked with PwC Malta, Hili Logistics Limited, and BMW Malta Finance Limited, among others.
He brings more than 30 years’ experience in the banking sector.
