Ionut Alexia named Group Financial Controller at Tauss Holdings

Ionut Alexia has been appointed Group Financial Controller at Tauss Holdings.

Mr Alexia joins Tauss Holdings after almost five years at GoldenPeaks Capital, where he most recently served as Head of Group Reporting and Financial Controller.

Prior to this, he spent more than three years as Financial Controller at LifeStar Insurance. His earlier career also includes roles as an accountant and senior accountant.

His new role sees him join a diversified group with interests spanning the marine and yachting industries, automotive products and financing.

Tauss Holdings is associated with the Travers Tauss family and encompasses a portfolio of companies operating across different areas of the marine sector.

Among these is SA/MI/ZU restaurant and the Marina Di Valletta.

The group also includes Strand Marine, its founding company, which was established in 1990. Mediterranean Yacht Sales, meanwhile, operates as a yacht brokerage and services company specialising in the sale of new and pre-owned sailing and motor yachts across the Mediterranean.

Another company within the group, AB Finance, provides financing solutions for yacht purchases. The company was established to support customers with the initial cost of acquiring a yacht and can contribute up to 55 per cent of the purchase price, net of taxes, across the Mediterranean Azimut Yachts dealer network.
