Banking and finance expert John Cassar White has been appointed to the board of MAPFRE Middlesea as Non-Executive Director.
The appointment, which was subject to regulatory approval, has been confirmed by the Malta Financial Services Authority.
Mr Cassar White has a long and decorated career working in Malta’s banking sector for over 40 years. He occupied various senior executive posts at Bank of Valletta, including Chief Officer Finance and Chef Risk Officer. Between 2013 and 2016, he served as Chairman of the same bank.
Currently the Chairman of the Malta Fiscal Advisory Council and the supervisory board of the Malta Development Bank, Mr Cassar White has served as director of various companies operating in the financial services sector throughout his career, as well as a business consultant to various private and public companies.
