Louis Cassar Pullicino / Ganado Advocates

Louis Cassar Pullicino has been appointed Non-Executive Director on the Board of Directors at HSBC Bank Malta plc, the bank announced on Wednesday (today).

He will thus be filling a casual vacancy that was left following the retirement of Chairman John Bonello last April. Manfred Galdes was appointed Chairman in his stead, thus vacating his position as Non-Executive Director, which has now been occupied by Dr Cassar Pullicino.

Regulatory approval for the appointment of Dr Cassar Pullicino has already been obtained.

Dr Cassar Pullicino is a Consultant at Ganado Advocates, and is an experienced litigator specialising in commercial litigation, particularly active in admiralty and shipping, banking, corporate, insolvency, insurance, telecommunications, pensions and contractual disputes with an international dimension.

For over 30 years, he has been advising numerous banking institutions and has been involved in the market’s most complex marine and commercial litigation cases.

In June 2015, he was appointed Managing Partner at Ganado Advocates, with the vision to continue driving the firm forward. His time in the position ended in March 2021, and Dr Cassar Pullicino has since continued to focus exclusively on litigation and international arbitration.

He obtained a Doctor of Laws in 1986 from University of Malta.
