The Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) – the country’s financial regulator – has just approved Atlas Insurance PCC Limited’s appointment of Malcolm Booker as an Independent Non-Executive Director.
Company Chairman Lawrence Zammit celebrated the new directorial appointment.
“Mr Booker’s leadership experience as well as his international exposure in varied sectors over the past years will add a new dimension to our board composition and dynamics and will allow him to take an active role in strategic development and change of our company,” Mr Zammit said.
Mr Booker is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, as well as a Fellow of the Malta Institute of Taxation and the Malta Institute of Accountants.
He spent over 30 years working at Deloitte Malta, throughout which period he served as both CEO and Director.
Atlas Insurance PCC Limited is the flagship company of the Atlas Group and operates an extensive branch and intermediary network throughout the Maltese islands.
Presently, the group employs just over 200 people, most of which are business graduates and with an increasing number choosing to qualify both in business and insurance.
The issue, he argues, lies in how professional life continues to be structured as if parenting does not exist.
This role requires him to serve as the founding strategic leader of the newly established centre.
Thomas Agius Ferrante will focused on strengthening The Xara Collection as one of Malta’s most known hospitality companies.
Andrew Hogg is also Executive Director at The BrewHouse Malta.
