She remarked that while 2021 and 2022 proved to be “very challenging years” for the hospitality industry due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent road to recovery, Ms Azzopardi is “proud” that at IHG Hotels & Resorts she was part of “some remarkable achievements”.

She proceeded to thank the staff at IHG Hotels & Resorts and the Owners who “supported” her, particularly her team which she “adores”.

While Ms Azzopardi did not reveal what her new venture will be, she said that she is “excited” and “looking forward” to it.

Apart from her time at IHG Hotels & Resorts, Ms Azzopardi also gained valuable hospitality experience from a number of other companies throughout her career.
