The db Group is proud to announce the opening of VERANI, a fast-casual food outlet in the departure lounge of the Malta International Airport.

Travellers can now indulge in an extensive menu featuring everything from traditional Maltese fare to popular dishes from other cuisines, including Mexican and Japanese. To celebrate Maltese culinary traditions, VERANI offers a range of traditional baked goods such as Froġa tat-Tarja, Ross fil-Forn, Ftira Għawdxija, and Timpana.

VERANI is a unique ‘grab & go’ concept that caters to a wide range of tastes and dietary choices – hot and cold dishes, breakfast items, deli selections, salads, locally-baked goods, sushi, yoghurt, dessert pots and more. Most menu items are available in gluten-free versions.

db Group CEO Robert Debono

Committed to freshness, quality and sustainability, VERANI ensures that all food items are prepared daily using responsibly-sourced ingredients, free of preservatives. The approach to the menu is also to prioritise personal choice. The onsite kitchen and culinary team are geared to allow patrons to customise dishes to their taste.

Breakfast at VERANI, served from 05:00 to 11:00, features the traditional Spanish Omelette, Ftira and vegan burritos. For lunch and dinner, travellers can choose from a wide array of fresh ‘One Pot Meals’, deli items, and sushi prepared daily by in-house sushi chefs.

The unique ‘Inflight Picnic’ offer is for travellers who wish to enjoy a freshly prepared meal and drink on their flight. Also on offer is a kids version of the Picnic – a healthy, tasty and nutritious snack box.

db Group CEO, Robert Debono, comments: “We are thrilled to bring VERANI to the Malta International Airport. Our commitment to quality, fresh ingredients, and personalised dining experiences sets this outlet apart and ensures that travellers start their journey on a culinary high note.”

VERANI is the db Group’s second airport outlet in the departures lounge, joining the long-established Hard Rock Cafe. Nationwide, the Group also operates Starbucks and a range of other restaurants in Malta, including Aki, Amami, LOA, Sonora and Nine Lives.
