Head of HR Jacqueline Abela said Melita Ltd’s investment in people has proved successful, as the company restructures its sales team.

Melita said it was carrying out the changes and making several new appointments to meet evolving customer expectations.

“The new structure allows elements of the team to focus on establishing new relationships and developing existing ones, whilst others focus on the implementation of executional excellence,” the company said.

“Melita works hard to ensure our employees are able to develop their skills and progress within the company. Our investment in people has proved successful not only in helping employees fulfil their potential but also in delivering a continuously improving customer experience. While congratulating everyone in the team on their new appointments, I have every confidence that they will all excel in their new roles,” said Ms Abela.

Simon Baldacchino Barthet, Senior Sales Manager at Melita, said the company had created two distinct groups within the sales team, called builders and boosters.

“This new structure gives our team the opportunity to focus on those areas of the business development process where their skills lie and that engage them the most. Consequently, Melita can offer even faster and better responses to our customers’ needs.  Most of the team have been with Melita for many years and it’s great to see them develop into leaders for the future, taking on roles in, among others, data analysis and strategy development as well as retail, digital and telesales,” he said.
