For many, the highlight of summer is a big vacation with family or friends.
Yet there are others who most look forward to quality time in their home country, enjoying everything it has to offer.
This is the case for QuickLets and Zanzi Homes CEO Steve Mercieca, who nonetheless enjoys a good holiday, yet adores Malta’s summer months.
In the latest instalment of this year’s MaltaCEOs.mt summer interview series, we spoke to Steve about what he enjoys doing the most during summer, together with the personal goals he has set his sights on.
Steve founded QuickLets in 2013, and since then it has become the largest letting agency in Malta. Less than two years later, he founded Zanzi Homes, a brand solely focused on the sale of real estate. Leading two property companies is no easy task, yet he still manages to get some well-earned rest, especially during summer.
100 per cent a summer person. I love the sun, sea, and the longer days.
Yes, I’m eager to go boating and to pools.
Either barbequing by the pool or else going out with the boat.
Definitely outside near a pool with my family. Or else in the office with the AC turned on.
I already travel a lot for work, but I’ll probably take my family to Portugal and Spain this summer.
Malta. The sun, sea, coast, cheap beer, and of course the traditional ħobża biż-żejt.
Definitely Bali.
I’d have to say getting my bag stolen with all my stuff and passport inside.
I’ll spend time researching and chatting to ChatGPT.
The aim is to open offices in Portugal.
