Malta-based Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) on Friday announced the appointment of Ryan Collinge as its new Senior Vice President (VP) of Business Development for Platform and Sportsbook.

Mr Collinge is a well-known and highly regarded figure in the industry, possessing more than 20 years of experience. He brings a wealth of commercial expertise to GiG having played a pivotal role over the last seven years in delivering multi-million-euro contracts for Blueprint Gaming and the Gauselmann Group, where he served as Group Director.

He is a customer relations expert and has spearheaded numerous high-profile contracts that have fuelled revenue growth in both new and mature regulated markets.

Founded in 2012, GiG is a leading iGaming technology company that provides solutions, products, and services to iGaming operators. It operates out of Malta and is dual-listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol GIG and on NASDAQ Stockholm under the ticker symbol GIGSEK.

GiG stated that Mr Collinge will play a “pivotal role” in the company’s strategic commercial initiatives, as set out by Chief Business Officer (CBO) Andrew Cochrane, “aimed at cementing its position in the industry, expanding global footprint, and fostering sustained growth.” GiG added that it hopes that a combination of its products together with the services offered, backed by a talented team, will “ensure it maintains its status as a pioneer in delivering cutting-edge solutions.”

Richard Carter, CEO for Platform and Sportsbook at GiG, said: “We have made some excellent hires over the past few months and Ryan [Mr Collinge] is another fantastic addition to our senior team.” He remarked that Mr Collinge’s arrival will help “propel GiG forward” to scale revenue and acquire new partners.

“With an exceptional reputation and strong background in iGaming, I am certain his high-level knowledge of the industry and strategic approach will be invaluable to GiG during this rapid period of growth, and will help to deliver on the opportunities that lie ahead,” he continued.

Mr Cochrane noted that Mr Collinge’s arrival will provide a “fantastic boost” to GiG’s business development efforts.

“His experience and proven track record at driving commercial successes is undeniably impressive. His appointment affirms our ability to attract some of the very best talent our industry has to offer and helps to further cement our belief that we have a very exciting future ahead of us,” Mr Cochrane added.

Speaking about his appointment, Mr Collinge noted that joining GiG at this point in time was “too exciting an opportunity to pass up, given the enormous potential of the business.”

“I have been highly impressed with the new X-Suite of products and the plans that the executive team have in place for the future. We go into ICE and 2024 full of ambition and anticipation for what we can achieve together,” he continued.
