Valletta-based The Phoenicia Malta welcomed Stephanie Gambin as its new Sales Manager.

Ms Gambin joins the hotel after gaining strong sales experience within the local hotel industry, having served as Sales Coordinator and Sales Executive at the Malta Marriott Hotel & Spa between 2019 and 2022.

“The effects of COVID-19 were devastating on the industry, however, sitting in the hotel’s busy Palm Court Lounge, it’s wonderful to see how things have picked up once again,” Ms Gambin said, looking back at the past two years.

“I look forward to bringing even more business to the iconic Phoenicia Malta,” she continued.

Founded in 1947, the five-star Phoenicia Malta is home to 136 bedrooms and suites, a recently opened Deep Nature Spa, eight acres of gardens, and several restaurants and bars, amongst other facilities.

The historic hotel has been officially led by General Manager (GM) Robyn Pratt since last September. Prior to this, Ms Pratt served as Acting GM at the same establishment.

“Every department is important in a hotel, however, having a solid sales team is fundamental to the success of any company,” Ms Pratt said.

“We are thrilled to welcome [Ms Gambin] to the Phoenicia family and to reaching new heights, together,” she concluded.

Ms Gambin holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Tourism Studies from the University of Malta as well as a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing from the Digital Marketing Institute.

In 2018, she graduated from the University of Surrey with a Master of Science in International Tourism Management.
