On Tuesday (today), International Hotel Investments plc (IHI) announced the appointment of Stephen Bajada as Company Secretary.

Mr Bajada joined Corinthia in 1998, and IHI upon its incorporation in 2000.

In his new role, he succeeds Jean-Pierre Schembri who has held the position since June 2019 and who has been recently promoted to the position of CEO of Corinthia Palace Hotel Company Ltd (CPHCL), a majority institutional shareholder in IHI.

Presently, Mr Bajada holds the same role with several group entities and is Director of a number of Corinthia subsidiaries. He is also responsible for corporate administration and the group assets’ insurance procurement.

Mr Bajada holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, focused on hospitality management, from the University of Malta and is a member of the Forum of Company Secretaries. He describes himself as being well experienced in the real estate, catering, leisure, events and hospitality industry.

IHI owns commercial and hotel real estate across four continents and operates companies including Corinthia Hotels Limited (CHL), Corinthia Developments Limited (CDI), and QPM Limited (QP). In Malta, it owns the iconic Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa, as well as Corinthia Oasis, Corinthia St George’s Bay, Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Radisson Blu Resort, and Marina Hotel Corinthia Beach Resort.
