In a recent interview with PCD Club, Albert Cilia described his role of Managing Director at Trident Trust in Malta as “trying to find the right balance in achieving the goals of the company stakeholders, our clients and my colleagues.”

At the helm of the independent provider of corporate, trust and fund administration services to the financial services sector, Mr Cilia reveals that it is the continuous challenge that attracts him, affirming that “our industry and the environment which has developed around it do really guarantee that!”

Describing the impact of the global pandemic on the business, the Managing Director shares that that both the Malta office and the Group as a whole adapted “sensibly and prudently”, noting that “the core focus of our business has always been doing the basics really well and during COVID-19, we were more focused on our fundamentals than ever before. We knew that if we ensured the safety of our staff and provided continuity of service to our clients, we would be successful.”

Looking back on his time with the company, for which he has led the Malta office for almost five years, he says that over the years, “I have managed to work well and was able to achieve the company goals, thanks to the continuous support from the staff in Malta and the Group as a whole.”
