Having joined the iGaming company last February, Mr Tabone marked his 116 days of employment.

“[I am] a newbie by all counts compared to some of my colleagues – but it feels like I’ve known my team forever already,” the CISO wrote.

“New colleagues-turned friends have been nothing short of welcoming and I have no doubt that we are taking Betsson to the next level of success. A big thank you for all your support in making #onebetsson happen through a series of mini successes,” he concluded.

Founded in 1963, Betsson Group nowadays employs around 1,900 people across 13 different locations. The company is also behind a plethora gaming brands, including betsafe, europebet, RaceBets, and starcasino.

Before joining Betsson Group, Mr Tabone built up a wealth of experience in the information security sector by working at LeoVegas Group.

There he served as Information Security Manager, Group Information Security Manager, and finally, Group Head of Information Security.

His previous experiences also include Group CTO at Allied Newspapers and MiFinity, Lecturer at Middlesex University, and Associate Director at KPMG Malta.
