The Valletta Credit Finance Corporation, a new digital finance institution, officially launched on 24th June, in a spectacular event held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.
Using a theme to represent the journey of money through the ages, the interior hall of the conference centre was transformed into a medieval market scene, with entertainers and musicians performing in return for shells that were handed out to guests upon entering, representing the bartering system of old.
Later, coins were handed out, which guests were eventually asked to tap against their phone, guiding them to the Valletta Credit Finance Corporation’s (VCFC) website and offering them the opportunity to experience VCFC first hand through a three-month membership.

The integration of the coin with technology represented the transition from physical currency to virtual.
The VCFC is a modern payments institution which aims to provide easy and quick transactions for, among others, those who do business internationally, across borders. It falls under the Insignia Group of Companies.
The company says its core proposition centres on financial flexibility, intelligent multi-currency payments and a seamlessly connected financial ecosystem.
President of the Insignia Group of Companies, Nada T.Rouviere said about the launch: “what we launched wasn’t a product. It was a correction. Every person in that room knew the feeling. The compliance call at the wrong hour. The relationship manager who knows your balance but not your business. The wire that arrives four days after the opportunity closed. VCFC was built so it never has to happen again. Thirty years of anticipating what ultra high net worth clients need before they ask. Now it becomes infrastructure with VCFC.
VCFC’s target clientele includes international entrepreneurs, cross-border businesses, family offices managing multi‑jurisdictional assets, high-net worth individuals and those who want a personalised approach in their financial partner.
It offers clients relationship managers available 24/7, cross‑border payments through seamless multi‑currency capabilities, personal and corporate travel solutions, and tailored payment cards, among other things.
“Long before global mobility became a business trend, Insignia understood that its clients lived internationally. Their businesses, investments, families and ambitions spanned continents. Those thirty years taught us an important lesson. The future of wealth is global. Yet much of financial services continues to operate as though clients still live, work and bank within a single country,” VCFC Chairman JP Fabri said at the launch.
“That disconnect is why VCFC was created. We are not launching another digital platform. We are building a premium financial institution designed around the realities of modern global living. One that brings together multi-currency accounts, cross-border payments, premium cards and dedicated relationship management within a single ecosystem,” he said.
Eden Leisure Group CEO says he is extremely happy with the recent Appeals Court ruling.
He emphasised that continuity of people, relationships and expertise will remain at the heart of the bank’s transition.
