Fyorin Co-Founder and CEO James Camilleri on Monday shared that he had the opportunity to visit the British Grand Prix in Silverstone over the weekend, an experience that left him in complete awe.
The race, which took place on Sunday, formed part of the annual Formula One (F1) World Championship, contested across 22 Grand Prix held across the world. Reigning champion Max Verstappen, who represents Red Bull Racing, triumphed in this particular race. Mr Camilleri was invited to the event by Fyorin’s partners TransferMate Global Payments.
“Words cannot express the exhilaration and awe I experienced. Not only did I witness the heart-pounding race action, but I also had the extraordinary opportunity to explore the mesmerising world behind the scenes of the Haas team,” he said.
While being fully immersed in the event’s atmosphere, Mr Camilleri “couldn’t help but marvel at the tremendous amount of work, dedication, and precision that goes into each race”. This ranges from the “seamless coordination” and “relentless pursuit of excellence”, all the way to the “unrivalled passion”.
“It was a vivid reminder that success is never an overnight feat. It is the culmination of countless hours, unwavering commitment, and a unified team effort,” he continued.
Additionally, the “unforgettable experience” also served as a reminder for him of the parallel between the F1 world and the business landscape, as just like in racing, “there are no shortcuts to success”.
“It takes a cohesive and highly skilled team to navigate the challenges, push boundaries, and seize opportunities,” Mr Camilleri added.
He proceeded to express gratitude to Transfermate and to the Haas team for the “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity”.
Mr Camilleri co-founded payments and financial operations solution Fyorin together with CFO and COO Christian Joseph Agius and CTO Brian Vella in 2020. This venture came after he gained over a decade of commercial experience doing international business across the Fintech and e-commerce sectors for global companies.
