Long-standing Head of Corporate Communications Stephen Gauci has bid Air Malta farewell after 27 years of employment.
The national carrier stalwart announced his career move through a bulk e-mail sent out to his corporate and media contacts.
“After 27 years of service, I will no longer be working for Air Malta. My last day at the office is in fact this Friday, 15th July. Firstly, I would like to thank you all for your continued support to the airline, and to me personally while heading the Communications Department for all these years,” he wrote.
“Working for Air Malta has been an enriching experience, and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to work on amazing projects including various restructuring processes, re-branding, PR stunts, press conferences, press trips, interviews and other important events and milestones for the airlines,” he added.
Mr Gauci’s lengthy career at Air Malta has seen him hold a series of senior roles within the airline’s communications sector. These include Section Head Public Relations, Head of PR and External Communications, and most recently, Head of Corporate Communications.
“I met most of you personally during such events, and although we did not meet that much over the last two years, we stayed in touch via email or telephone calls. I enjoyed and appreciated every second on the job and it was a learning and satisfying experience all throughout,” Mr Gauci added.
“Thank you once again for being there. I am sure that we will cross paths soon,” he concluded.
'Don’t let a bad day make you forget the progress you’ve made.'
