Australian-Maltese entrepreneur and billionaire Adrian Portelli, widely known as “Mr Lambo”, has announced the acquisition of a Bugatti Tourbillon, one of only 250 units set to be produced worldwide.

Valued at approximately €3.8 million, the hypercar is the successor to the Bugatti Chiron.

Unveiled in June 2024, the Bugatti Tourbillon features a naturally aspirated 8.3-litre V16 engine paired with three electric motors, delivering a combined output of around 1,800 horsepower. This advanced hybrid system allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in under two seconds and reach a top speed of over 440km/h.

Mr Portelli’s passion for high-performance cars has long been well documented, and in recent years he embarked on a European road trip in his McLaren P1, during which he visited Malta and Gozo.

On Instagram, where he shared the news alongside photographs of the car, Mr Portelli teased followers with the caption: “What colour's your Bugatti? Top secret. Tourbillon loading…”
